I will start off by saying this product is really awesome. This is the new rave that is on the markets today. “Sands Alive! Glow” shines in the dark once it has been exposed to light (either natural or artificial) for a period of time. Hence, it is now possible for children to mold something with the sand and then watch it glow as soon as the lights are switched off.
I have to really say that this is the best for your children to play with. "Sands Alive! Glow" is described to be the best indoor no mess play sand. This sand is bacteria free and never dries out. That is what makes this product amazing. As we all know product like Play dough, slim and etc. all dry out after awhile and need to throw them out. Then you need to pend more money to buy more. So why don't you skip all that and grab your children this product.
Your child is able to design hundreds of different things and then shut off the lights and this is what it will look like when it glows. I found this to be fun and I am a adult!
How to use:
To get the best effect with Sands Alive leave it under an intense light (back-lights or halogens work best) for approximately 10 to 30 minutes. Every two minutes or so, roll the sand from the bottom of the pan to the top of surface so the entire set gets near-equal exposure. Then craft something simple like a small mound and take it into a dark room. You will be amazed by the vibrancy of the glow. However, the true magic of Sands Alive! Glow shines when you switch on the provided lens-less black-light glasses and stare at the sand through them. Upon turning the sand over to the dark-side it will appear purplish and then turn green, thus making this set have color-changing properties.
Sands Alive is recommended for children 3 and over. This product is roughly around $20.00, give or take a few dollars either way. They also sell molds to use in the sand and these molds can be bought on their website.
I really do recommend this product for your children. It will keep them busy creating different things. You will be amazed at what your child could sculpt. Maybe you will also join in with your child and have some fun.
