NATIONAL CAT DAY....

Today October 29th is National Cat Day.  Yes, you read that right and I think they need a day too.  I love cats, kittens, well to be honest I just love animals.  Now do you LOVE cats?  If you answered yes then keep reading.  If you answered no, go get yourself a cat and start enjoying the companionship of that special kitty in your life.

Attention cat owners, it's National Cat Day. Let's paws for a moment and take in 6 reasons you love to hate your darling feline.

• Your cat knows when you are feeling under the weather and will stay by your side throughout the duration of a cold, flu or bad breakup.
• They throw themselves on the floor and start rolling around on their backs, trying to get your attention. But they only want to be pet twice, maybe three times max. Then, they are done. Move on, human.
• Cats are thieves. They will steal hair things, bracelets, buttons, watches. Basically anything not nailed down will go into secret hiding places.
• They overeat and then throw up. In. Different. Spots. Of. Your. Home.
• The litter box doubles as a form of entertainment. A cat may go in there to do their business and then just mess around with the litter for heck's sake.
• Cats interrupt their owners all the time. If you are working, you may have a cat on your computer, covering the screen. If you are cooking, he or she may be under your feet.

I do agree with all my resons I listed above.  I have several ages of cats/kittens in my home and I love each and every one of them.  They are special to me in so many different ways and some I think love me more than others.  In which that is completely normal.  I have 3 that will come running to me when I come through the door.  Their names are Blackie, Izzy and Buddah.  All the rest come slowly to see me depending if they are sleeping or not.  Now for bed time they all pretty much sleep right around me.  It is like they are tucking me in at night, like we tuck in our little children.

I would like to introduce you to some of my feline babies that I have at home with us all.

To those of us who have cats, every day is a ‘cat day’; every day is filled with taking care of them, feeding them, cleaning their litter-boxes and cleaning the cats themselves, if need be. We play with them, talk to them, keep them safe, every day. So why is there a National Cat Day?

Firstly, I think simply calling the event ‘national’ limits its scope. The purpose of the day is to make people aware of the need to rescue homeless and abused cats, and to celebrate those felines who have families and friends, and the positive effect those cats have on us. If this is indeed the reason for the day, then restricting it to any one country is like trying to rid only one country in the world of poverty. We need not simply start here, or there. One person trying to make a difference must begin somewhere, but if an entire planet is involved in solving a problem, then a beginning may be made everywhere.

PARENTING 14 GOSPEL PRINCIPLES

I just want to start this out by saying that I love to read pretty much any type of book.  I am always trying to improve myself, my family and I even share some with my true friends.  As you know being a parent is a constant job and I try to find easier and better ways to parent.  You must know what I mean if your a parent.

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

In the midst of folding laundry, coordinating carpool schedules, and breaking up fights, many parents get lost. Feeling pressure to do everything “right” and raise up “good” children, it’s easy to lose sight of our ultimate purpose as parents in the quest for practical tips and guaranteed formulas.

In this life-giving book, Paul Tripp offers parents much more than a to-do list. Instead, he presents us with a big-picture view of God’s plan for us as parents. Outlining fourteen foundational principles centered on the gospel, he shows that we need more than the latest parenting strategy or list of techniques. WHAT I THINK ABOUT THIS BOOK:

I usually can read anything and everything, well most of the time.  This book just seemed like it took forever to get done.  It really was dull and boring to read.   I felt like Tripp was saying only follow God’s laws and then in the next sentence he was saying something contradicting. Yes, this book did have some enjoyable parts and I did learn a few things from it but it was not an easy read.  You really need to ponder on what they are saying.  It is not broken down to really understand it. 

This next section is a little bit about what I did like in this.  Tripp discussed being humble with our kids. Meaning, showing our kids that we are imperfect just like they are. We need to apologize to our children when we do wrong. Show them we’re imperfect so our kids are willing to come to us when they have problems. Us as parents can't just yell at our children when they come to us with problems or need us as parents.  This will just push the children farther away.  I know I don't want and I am sure you won't want that either.

As for this topic " Fight for your right" we were able to chose anything we liked.  Well I have chosen to write about "Women's Rights."  I believe tht this is a huge topic that needs to be heard about.  There still is so many things that women can have their say about but we don't always get it.  So I will write about what I feel and think what should be.  If I should forget something or did not write in this post feel free to leave it in the comments.


The staggering changes for women that have come about over those seven generations in family life, in religion, in government, in employment, in education - these changes did not just happen spontaneously. Women themselves made these changes happen, very deliberately. Women have not been the passive recipients of miraculous changes in laws and human nature. Seven generations of women have come together to affect these changes in the most democratic ways: through meetings, petition drives, lobbying, public speaking, and nonviolent resistance. They have worked very deliberately to create a better world, and they have succeeded hugely.  Throughout 1998, the 150th anniversary of the Women's Rights Movement is being celebrated across the nation with programs and events taking every form imaginable. Like many amazing stories, the history of the Women's Rights Movement began with a small group of people questioning why human lives were being unfairly constricted.

Now I would like to share a few women that should actually be recognized just like the President.  These women were activists and were accomplished in their time.

•  Elizabeth Cady Stanton, of course. And Susan B. Anthony. Matilda Joslyn Gage. Lucy Stone. They were pioneer theoreticians of the 19th-century women's rights movement.
• * Esther Morris, the first woman to hold a judicial position, who led the first successful state campaign for woman suffrage, in Wyoming in 1869. Abigail Scott Duniway, the leader of the successful fight in Oregon and Washington in the early 1900s.
• * Ida B. Wells-Barnett and Mary Church Terrell, organizers of thousands of African-American women who worked for suffrage for all women.

Well now that's alittle history about Women's Rights.  I find it very interesting and how women's rights began very evolved today.  I personally think that women's rights still have to evelved some more.  I personally like to speak for myself and vote.  I would never be able to live in the olden days when men spoke and took care of everything.  I do have to say I am glad I am living in this generation.

This is sort of a mini blender. I use it for making cold drinks. such as blending different fruits into my waters and teas. Sometimes I add ice cream and blend in some fruits and nuts for a creamy shake. It would be nice for making fresh baby foods also. It has a detachable chopping cup so you can either drink from or take it with you for when you're thirsty. It has a lid that is leak proof. I like the blades that are stainless steel and chop the fruits and items so you don't have to dig out the big pieces.  The other great part is that you are able to take it with you because it turns into a cup.  This would be the perfect gift for a college student, a single dad or just actually anyone that loves fresh smoothies and even ice coffee.

I found that this Hybrid Water boiler and warmer was pretty interesting.  I personally never had anything like this before.  This is the perfect product for every hot water use that you may need.  This is great for coffee, tea, for baby formula.  I found this to be perfect when we went camping and there is no hot water there. My (Underground) American Dream

** This is my own opinion and words of this book. I was giving a copy in return of my honest review.**

I was not really sure I was going to like or even get into a book like this.  Boy, I was wrong and I read this book in three days.  I really got into this true story.  This is her true story as an undocumented immigrant that became a Wall Street Executive.  This story is a very aspiring story for anyone to read, but for women and immigrants.  Everyone is able to achieve and get everything they need and want.


There was a time, it seems, when if Mexico were to pay for the wall of Donald Trump’s dreams, the government might have approached the Arce family for a loan. Though not in the Carlos Slim category, the author’s mother, for instance, “was responsible for putting Taxco silver on the map all over the United States.” Small wonder, perhaps, that Arce grew up with an entrepreneurial spirit. That spirit alone was not enough to secure her a berth on the lumbering ship that is America; the dramatic heart of the book is a series of episodes when, having landed a very high-powered, very remunerative gig on Wall Street, Arce suffers panic attacks while waiting for the day when her fellow suits, to say nothing of la Migra, discover that she doesn’t have a green card. “I tried to blend in as much as I could,” she writes, “and in the process I lost so much of myself, of my culture, of my Mexican-ness. In that regard, I am a recovering American elitist.” Arce writes from an unusual position; we have plenty of chronicles of crossings by campesinos but none by a country clubber. The author’s travails and turmoils eventually resulted in her leaving Wall Street, two years after getting her papers, to work for immigrant rights (“God—use me,” she implores in an overwrought moment, a tone that, sadly, isn’t an exception). They also resulted in this book, which, though doubtless well-intended, doesn’t pack a lot of punch: “The plight of undocumented immigrants in this country is currently a hot topic again,” she rightly notes, but her engagement is too narrowly circumscribed to speak much to the experiences of the less privileged.

** This is my own opinion on this topic. It is in my own words and wrote what/how I feel about this topic. This is part of blogging group I am in regarding this post.**

I would like to start out by mentioning ways that you know you are in love with someone.  Sometimes love is either hard to find or it throws you a curve ball, but I want to take the time to tell you how you can tell it is real love.  Then at the bottom of this post I am going to share real fast my personal story about loving someone.

Falling in love is one of the most exciting, rewarding and scariest things you could ever do.  Once you’re in love with someone, it’s hard to remember how you lived without him or her. Of course, you were alive before you met this person, but you really didn’t start “living” until the two of you met.  

Now I will list 5 ways to tell you if you are in love with someone.  I find these 5 ways to be the best ones.  Plus you just know it is love and it's the right person.

The first person you think about

Your love will be the first person you think about when you wake up and the last person you think about before you go to sleep. When something good happens to you, this is the first person you want to tell.  When something bad happens to you, you look to this person for support.

Prioritize above your own needs

Love is selfless. I was the most important person and my children in my world until I found my high school love/friend. Once I pledge my love to him, his needs became much more important than my own.  This is just how love is. Your needs always seem trivial in comparison to your significant other’s needs.

You become a better person

No one is perfect; we all have room for improvement. But, being in love will force you to work on these things.  You want to become the best version of yourself for the person you love. I am a better person now.

Your feelings are unconditional

When you love someone unconditionally, it means that your love knows no conditions and is absolute. I don’t actually like the term “unconditional love” because I think it’s redundant — I believe all true love is unconditional.

 Your love is your best friend

Sometime along the way, my best friend became my husband.  Even now he is my best friend.   I believe this to be true for most people who fall in love.  Your significant other becomes your partner in crime. You feel like, together, you can take on the world.

I hope you continue reading and read about my love.  It is not to long I just gave you a sense on my love of my life and everything that we went through to end up loving each other and being together married as of today.

My personal story of loving someone:

This post I am going to write about, "When you love someone."  We all know about love, how it feels to be in love with someone, how it hurts when the love ends and sometimes we can always learn more about "Love".  So now I am going to write about my feelings on loving someone in my life.

I want to start out by telling you how I know that I truly love someone.  My husband is my true love.  We have been in love and been with each other since high school.  We were very, very close friends in high school and he always said he loved me, but I didn't want to screw up our great friendship just in case we didn't work out.  Even as friends we were always together and we did everything together.  We had an awesome, tight fit relationship and we did know that we loved each other.  One day we got separated from each other and we ended up not seeing or talking for about 6 years. We each had a different life in different states and were with different people. I never forgot about him and he said he always looked for me, but my last name had changed because I got married to the WRONG guy.  Oh yes I did!  My marriage ended from me.  I had a horrible marriage and I am leaving it like this and go on with the other part.

I was at a friend's house hanging out with her and looked through friends on Facebook and there was his name, Hector Champagne.  I was shocked, happy and excited all at once.  I then sent him a message and friend's request.  Then I just waited, it seemed like a million year before he accepted it.  It was only 3 days though.  He was just as surprised as I was he said to me.  We made a date and time to meet up and see each other again after 6 years and the funny part was I had butterflies in my stomach.  I was so nervous like a little schoolgirl, it was funny.  He felt the same way too.  Now for a short story we met and I had told myself during those 6 years if I ever got a chance I would tell him how I truly feel and I did.  Guess what? We were laying on the banking of this playground looking up at the stars and I told him that I love him and want us to be together.  Of course, he still loved me and wanted that too. We did have some obstacles in our way and we fought to be together and we were together.  I loved him and told him and there was no way I was going to lose him after all these years.

We got married on Dec.25, 2010 and it was the best day of my life.  It was magical, on Christmas and I was whole now.  Hector always says that we are soulmates and I do believe him because it was about 20 years where he was in love with me and the same here.  We still are going through obstacles but we are in it together and that is the most important thing in any relationship

Now with my personal story being said I can honest say I am in love someone with someone, my husband.  I know it is true love just the feeling you get when you are in love.  We are able to make it over  bumpy  roads and through some very tough situations.  When you fall in love you will just feel it in your heart, but you will also feel like this knot in your upper stomach.  You see the word knot but it is a great knot to feel.  You will always be happy and even catch yourself humming.  It really is an awesome feeling to feel and you will feel it if it is the right person.

I love my husband, Hector Champagne for over 20 years and I still in love with him.  We will be together until the day we die.  I don't want noone else or even look at another man.  Same for him.  Now that is ....Being in love with someone!

I personally am a tea drinker and lover that is why I agreed to give Tesia Tea a try.  I used to drink just the regular Lipton tea, but as you know now there are so many different types and flavors you are able to pick from.  I really love the choice now because you can chose the perfect flavor for your mood.

MY OPINION:

I am going to start out that they are in their own little cups and you receive a variety of the four flavors that come in the box set.  They are easy to use and tastes really great.

I received the Formosa series in the box.  Now this series include:  Green tea, Oolong, Roasted Oolong and Black Tea.  I had only ever tried Green tea in the past, so the other three flavors were brand new to me.  I am going to tell you alittle about each flavor.  

• Oolong Tea - This tea has a smooth and warm with a hint of sweet fruits.  It has the fresh flavors of green tea and the complex flavors of black tea into a perfect balance.
• Roasted Oolong Tea - This Tea has a natural roasted, earthy flavor with a long-lasting fragrance that will captivate your senses.  Now the comparison to un-roasted oolong tea, which is lighter and brews a light yellow/green color, roasted oolong produces a darker, richer brew.
• Black Tea - This black tea is prized for its rich and warm flavors. In Taiwan, black tea is known as “hong cha” or “red tea,” for the reddish amber color it produces when infused. Teasia Black Tea has a unique and delightful caramel flavor. Its natural sweet taste is what sets it apart from other black teas.
• Green Tea - This green tea has a light, delicate and refreshing flavor. Its smooth taste makes it perfect for any time of the day.

I personally really loved the Roasted Oolong Tea.  It really has the perfect taste.  Well that is my opinion on it.  You will have to grab yourself some and give them all a try.

Tesia Tea does have another variety pack of tea if you do not find those from the Formosa series.  This other series is called the Floral series.  Now in this series you will receive a variety of Jasmine Green Tea, Rose Black Tea, Chamomile Mint Tea,and the  Rooibos Lemongrass.  These do all sound too and I will be getting this variety pack and try them out.  I can not tell you what they taste like because I have never tried anything like them before.
